I don't think it's about abortion, however I do think it's about giving a child up for adoption. What swayed me towards that was the line "saying you should be with me instead", so it sounds like there's a child out there, just with a diffferent family. I could be wrong though. This is definitely one of my favorite songs on their new album.

If she had the child and it was adopted she still would have known it for an instant or so. Abortion is also indicated by her saying she tried to find another way but couldn't.
