Ahem, this song rocks...I dunno about the album being good though. I listened to Jihad and personally I didn't really like it ... God Hates Us All was alright I guess, I only liked about half the songs though. Not that huge on Slayer but damn they have got some great songs.
I think Slayer actually need to calm down with the anti-Christian lyrics. I mean, I'm not Christian, I'm Muslim (seriously don't tell me I'm a terrorist because of that...I hate stereotypical people like that), but they seem kinda obsessed with the whole anti-Christian thing. To me, it seems like they're just writing a lot of songs like this one to spark controversy, but then again it's also possible that the band is just trying to get people to not just blindly follow a religion.
Some songs like Jesus Saves could be interpreted like stop sinning then just praying and thinking it's all okay and everything, but this one, it's got some stuff that is just pure anti-Christian and I think it's a bit strange how Araya would sing that when he himself is Christian (I believe he is, right?). Parts like:
"There was no fucking Jesus Christ"
"I'd nail him to the crucifix"
And things like that. It doesn't seem to me like he's trying to get people to think about following religion blindly there. It just looks like he wants to be controversial and wants to look like a big anti-Christian rebel.
Well, that's just my opinion. I still like the song though lol. Tell me what ya think.
yes he is christian. lots of the songs like this that are really anti-christian like are actually written by Kerry King. Tom just puts his beliefs aside to sing them for the good of the band.

i agree with you about sparking controversy though. they use that Satanic and anti-christian theme because it gives them lots of publicity i think

i dont belive that araya is believing in god/religion etc, if yes, he would never sing something like this- im a christian too, on paper, but this doesnt mean that i belive in it,same for muslims etc.
