I love how Front mercilessly ridicules the artists who play into the whole "indie" thing, and then the concept itself, but I'm surprised that he doesn't mention indie "fans." In my opinion, they are the worst offenders, and no one else promotes the stupid idea more than the fools who decide a band or musician sucks once they become successful.
Indie is an idea that started as caring for the music itself more than the fame of an artist, and evolved into the unfortunate monster that condemns any artist who dares to write a hit. It actually becomes what it originally tried to fight against, and popularity supercedes quality again. Only now, the less popular the better.
