Perhaps this song is dedicated to one of Dave's close friends in real life because this is his favourite song out of all he's written apparently, I think it could be.
I don't know if its about self-harming or something more; the line 'Don't ever do that again, never end it, no I cannot watch you die' - made me think it meant don't end it, because he would feel worthless without the girl..........but the self-harming thing makes a lot of sense too...
