Could have been Paul wondering about 10 years in the future (the song came out in 1974). Could have been inspired by the George Orwell book 1984. Not sure. Maybe it says the future won't turn out the way you think (I didn't think, I never dreamed, that I would be around to see it all come true).
Great track though. And I like the little Ooh, ooh, interludes - gives the song some relief. Great piano/dums/bass rocker.
I discovered this on the Band on the Run B-side way back when and have liked it ever since. The Band on the Run reprise at the end is cool too.
