Favorite lines:
I break bread with the late heads, picking their brains for angles on
all the evils that the game'll do
About his whereabouts I wasn't convinced
So I kept feeding her money 'til her shit started to make sense
Stop screaming, you know the demon said it's best to die
And even if Jehovah witness, bet he'll never testify
This is full of quotables besides the ones I mentioned. I agree this is arguably his best...spoken like a true criminal, even though its obvious he's never killed anybody, its as convincing as anything Henry Hill wrote in Goodfellas, with as much wit and underrated talent.
Money and power does change people...whether it brings out the best or worst in them is their decision alone, though it probably brings out both evenly.
This is from when Jay desperately needed a way out of hustling and proved himself as a self-taught English Major...not until the Black Album came out did it bring out the best in him again.
"D'Evils" is coming from someone who knows the life-changing power of money first-hand, making it that much more authentic.
