One of the best P86 song ever! To me it's about waiting to get into heaven. And though he once was caught up in the immorality of society, he overcame that through finding God. Now he's looking back on his life, and forward to when he will be taken up. He comments on the "false empire" (society) and how he has now turned towards God as being his reason for life. He's turning his back on his past, learning from it, and waiting for the day when he and others (the oppressed) will meet God.
