"Which Jesus do you follow?
Which Jesus do you serve?
If Ephesians says to imitate Christ
Then why do you look so much like the world?"
Christians put on a good face at church but then at home, at work at schoool many, not all, take off that mask and replace it with what the world wants us to be.
I love this song because it so perfectly reflects my thoughts on the sympotms of christians today, and I include myself in that generalization.
I must say though, that my favorite line is:
"Cause my Jesus would never be accepted in my church
The blood and dirt on His feet might stain the carpet"
because it seems that if we aren't busy mirroring the world, then we are so caught up with the grandeur of religio that we fail to see that Christ wants us to witness to more than the pretentious snobs who have too much in their lives to want to see him.
Truth be told, we are all a reflection, as Agnew's CD Title says, but what are you? Do you look more like the world than like Jesus?
I agree Jesusgal. Just take the first verse:
"Which Jesus do you follow? Which Jesus do you serve? If Ephesians says to imitate Christ Then why do you look so much like the world?"
