In my opinion the song is not about wanting out of a relationship, but rather not wanting out of it. I see it as the other person wants out of the relationship to be free and live a single life, and the singer knows that this person will have fun at first maybe, but will eventually start to feel lonely and hate it. He's angry at the other person and says "throw your life away" go ahead and do what you want, it's your life. But it also hurts him, since the other person is just tossing him aside like he never mattered - "throw my life away." and "throw our life away" is throw the whole relationship away.
