I agree with hyperview for the most part.....i get the impression that the line "he/she bit my lip and drank my war, from years before" is all about the person taking all the baggage and heartbreak and despair that goes along with Davey(the speaker in this case, maybe its not Davey)...but he can taste the blood and remembers all too well of past experiences? (my first post, thanks for humoring me)
