I think this song may be about someone losing someone close to them, but in a very bad and awkward way. Apparently, the speaker and the person dying had a distant and dissociated relationship, which was caused by a bad event. Here is my full lyrical analysis:

"Now I could lie by your side, all serrated for you. Down below cancer grows, weeping waits inside you too"

This is the speaker is at the person's deathbed and sees that they are ill and it's hurting them inside (the serrated part still perplexes me, because I only ever heard in used the context of "serrated knife")

"Now all our rage begs a stage. It's a waste of time though."

It is blatantly obvious that this is the speaker saying that, albeit there's an overflow of emotion, showing it won't change the fact that the person is dying.

"And your stile seems worthwhile, but this lonely road has turned"

This could be saying that the person dying wants the speaker to act a certain way, and it is appealing to the speaker. But alas, the "lonely road has turned," or it is too late to change. I'm still working out the meaning of this line.

"And you faded there, they pretend to care, vultures waiting."

It seems that there are people (close or not) who are waiting for this person to die, to harvest all his worthily possessions. They have only pretended to give a shit about him. Like vultures waiting for it's pray to die to eat it.

"If you don't like me, certify me."

This part kind of gives a history of the relationship between the speaker and the person. He's wondering if the person still hates him (for whatever reason).

"I don't know. I won't go. Save it I'm okay"

This part is the person coping with the death. He doesn't know how to feel about it, but he doesn't want to leave (i.e. run away from his problems), and tells people he's doing ok, when he might not actually be.

"And in the sun a loaded gun begs for conversation"

This part I can't figure out for the life of me (I know, it's sad really).

"All the while in denial, it's to late for me to change.

Back to my point on the "dissociated relationship." The speaker is in denial about the death (i.e. enraged) and he wants to so he can patch up his relationship, but feels it's too late.

"And you we're unchained, nothing more has changed. I could fake it."

This could relate to their relationship. That even after all these years, they finally communicate, and nothing about it has changed. He thinks to himself that maybe he should put on a façade to "bury the hatchet," so to say.

"If you still hate me, confiscate me."

Another blatant line in this song. The speaker says that if the person still hates him, that he should be taken away or "confiscated".

"I won't play. Go away. Save it I'm okay."

This is simply stating that the speaker has had enough of these games, and won't play it anymore, and wants the person to just die and go away.

Now, I could just be speaking out of my ass, but this is what I think the songs about. Now, it just occurred to me that the chorus could be the dying person speaking, but meh, that's for another time ;).
