I was at the show in STL too. i must say, this song was just beautiful, and the crowd's response was beautiful. Dave came out for the first song of the encore alone and asked everyone to quiet down and listen and we all did, hanging on every note because it was unfamiliar to everyone. he also played it the next night in Kansas City, which was when he announced it was a brand new song.
going on what i know about Dave, i'd say this could either be about his sister that passed away or his other sister or both. its actually prolly all at once. remembering the good times thats hes had with each of em. there's nothing like a good brother/sister relationship and he obviously realizes that. Dave is a genius and the band just gets better every time i see them. Tuesdays's show was the best musician ship i've ever seen out of DMB. believe it or not their jams have gotten even better if u can imagine. to those who have never seen DMB live, i highly recommend it.
peace
