I can't believe I did not discover Big Japan before.. to tell you the truth, I was never a big Adam Brody Fan, but since I discovered this band... I am overwhelmed. They sound awesome. Nice mixture between positive Bright Eyes Stuff, Elliott Smith, Ben Folds maybe? However: They rock. Indie. Great stuff. And such a beautiful song... and I understand the emotions of the song so well. To me, it's about those moments when you meet someone, liking that person, maybe do some flirting...but thinking you won't have a chance for long.. but it still is a good feeling to get to know that somebody, because he/she is special. You wish you'd remember this moment later on, to cheer yourself up, but you know, you won't. It is that small moments that can make your day, and that you do forget too fast.
Still.. it was kind of special. For that moment. That somebody was special.. not like anyone else. "Not just another fish in the sea".
