Yeah I know. Some of the words are slightly different, not that it matters...but it kind of does. Besides, Mazarin had only released the song, not even quite a year, before the Walkmen decided to cover it...and of course made a song, that would have otherwise remained obscure, somewhat popular. That gives them a bit of credit.
I've actually heard both versions...and...well while Mazarin's is good...call me biased but the Walkmen's version is much better.
Whether the words were writtin by them or not, the Walkmen put their stamp on it... and that's good enough for me.
