I think this sng's got to do with a girl keith likes. he's been waiting for he to give him some sort of sign on whether or not he's got a shot, but she won't say anything, he won't give her a word.
He's sick of waiting and waiting for a reply, he's been breaking plans and whatnot, waiting for her to say something, but she won't talk.
I think, he maybe gives up at the end? Or, just says something like , "Save your breath, I already know what you're trying to say. yeah, who was I kidding? you don't want anything to do with me."
but then, changes his mind? "just tell me already!"
