Yes, it blows me to... I like the part "And if the Thames weren’t so filthy I would jump into the river and drown"... you can feel his misery and sadnes and dissapointment... but we all feel it, and we question our relationships, and it doesen't mean you've stopped loving him/her - that's why he says "Don’t be afraid Come on down I’m just sitting here thinking loud" - and that's the reason I love this song.
