I don't think its the girl dying...I think it's him more so. Her blooshot eyes are from her crying.
The reason I think its him dying are lines like this:
"Will you find me when the tide decides that I got to leave"
Like hes the one leaving to another place...and some others...hmm I could be wrong but thats just what I thought.
