Awesome song. I love the way it shows the confusion and overwhelming feeling of giving yourself completely away to someone who will probably use you. I'm not really sure if that's what was intended by the artist, but that's sure what I got from it-- especially in the last stanza (i know that term's only approprate for poems, but..), where he realizes that really, his feelings of belonging were totally out of place. He saw her, thought he knew her (which, I believe, is a huge part of love.. maybe that's only my experience though), but now he realizes that really, everyone around him is together and he is the outsider.

I think the most beautiful part about the song is the way he poses his question, though. "Are you some kind of hypnotist?" He still thinks she's amazing (consider what comes to mind when you think of hypnotism), but he just can't believe what "her powers" have made him do. And at the beginning of the song, he tells us that she keeps "tricking" him-- that even once he feels himself finally loose of her spell, he is immediately caught right back up into the rush.

I love songs about love that never actually use the word.
