This song isn't about war, or love in general, or anything like that, if you read up about the whole blink break-up and the feelings or mark and tom, tom in this case, you'll find out that the movie and the album in general (and to a degree, this song as well) are about a "war", but not a typical war; the war is supposed to sybolise the suffering that mark and tom's relationship suffered because of their dispute over Boxcar Racer. It's about the love that there once was between them that has now been destroyed by a "war" that is still going on because they still haven't made up yet, and in a more general sense it's about how love between anyone can sometimes suffer a similar fate. There are parts of the song which this doesn't quite explain, but I know from reading up about it that it is about mark and tom, look closely and you'll get it, trust me ;)
