you should probably read the pitchfork interview, you guys are absolutely right on that. the two people in the band who write the songs grew up in the outsides. one in british columbia, another one in vancouver I think. anyway, it's about that and also Spencer's mom dying (no more dinnerbells?) which were two main forces in writing the album. there's alot of meaning in these lyrics, I hope no one looks at it and says "whatever it means nothing, its just catchy" cause it really isnt, it's more than that.
