I thought about this song referring to "Tookie" but I dunno. That whole 'replacement' part wouldn't really make sense. Besides, credibility and his post-conviction life aside, , he was a Crip, and most likely commited some crimes that wouldn't make him a 'respectable member of society".
Anyways, whatever. What I noticed about the song is that it seems to have contradictions, like it's talking about two different people. I take it to be talking about a con and his executioner. In the first verse the first two lines could be about the con and the second two about the executioner, and in the second, 1st two are executioner, etc... I dunno. The song doesnt' seem to make much sense if it's completely from the perspective of a person being executed.
