in the lyrics, instead of 'round the horn if you dare' i put 'round the hope if you dare' as i am pretty sure that it is referring to the cape of good hope (south africa) which is renowned by sailors for its lack of wind. if a ship were to make the trip to say nz or australia, they would probably be going from europe and they would go past the cape. they would spend weeks just drifting around. so you would have to be a bit crazy if you were a sailor to go anywhere near the cape. plus why would you round the horn???
