thoward, emily is definitely a real person. in the liner notes of this album, the first person blake thanks is someone named "emily anne." i also read that posting on rk.net that emily was in the video for not going home. not sure if she's a current or ex girlfriend, though.
also-- maybe it's because i've been brainwashed by the whole fleetwood mac/lindsey buckingham/stevie nicks thing (they are still writing songs to and about each other after all these years "apart") but I don't see anything wrong with Blake writing songs about Jenny and vice versa. even though they aren't "together" anymore technically, it's obvious they still mean a great deal to each other or there would be no more rilo kiley, ya think? and jenny definitely still has blake elements in her songs. there's nothing wrong with that. let's start with "you are what you love," and "pull me in tighter."
