I love this song so much, as I like the whole Intensive Care. It's so full of melancholy. This song is an example of that, it's full of an 80's feeling.
I think it talks about a Robbie's young love and how they both have changed through the years (not necessarily in a good way).
It reminds me a lot of my own first love and how we drifted apart. And how he insisted in me "spreading my wings and flying" the way I should...being who I should be. About how I miss him and his support and how I'm still trying to "fly" and make it someday...
