I don't think it's really about a relationship with a girl. Dan writes most of the songs, and I can't think of any girl that this would inspire him in a relationship type thing.
I think it's mostly about sometimes life can just kinda suck, and you can try as much as you want to fix everything, but you need to just take a minute, breathe, and try again.
