"I'm lost" obviously means that hes now in the coma and doent know whats goin on

In the book the 1st thing he describes after going under is some sort of consil of lepers who sentence him. to this journey he's about to go on. This verse describes that.
I dont know what the second verse means.
Clipseside of the pinkeye fountain" means that bad side of a morhine injection... an overdose. pinkeye describes stcking the neddle in your arm.

I think here that he's wondering whats goin on. Is he peaking on that drugs(pink to red). Or maybe he lost his mind (hense the head chopped off of his body).

you probably know when your fucked up enouph to be slipping into a coma... but in real life you are never supposed to have any recollection of being in it... so your the last to know about it... or you die and you never know.
