what i think this song is about is how everything seems like it will never change..or perhaps, how after a while everything seems so constant and the same old same old..because of the fact that we have grown accustomed to the way things are, we dont see any other way, and we dont see that there are always options if we just get up and take a walk on a different path..with lovers, after a while, things become mundayne, you feel like theres no pleasing them or any excitment..and we let society just remain the way it is, reguardless of how poorly things may be going, just because either were afraid or we just dont have faith in the fact that we can make a difference if we took a stand or went down an opposite route..we just, as a whole, tend to sit back and not do anything about our unhappiness or about the problems in the world, and just let everything remain, and thats how it will stay until the day we fade away, age, and die..change is what gives strength and growth...im having problems explaining myself hah, but maybe you get the picture?
