In the chorus it seems as if he is asking to himself what she would do if she really knew how he felt. would she give him another chance or would she brush him off? In my opinion he isnt necessarily singing to her he's only stating that he'd do anything to be with her, but that just the thought of not being with her wont let his mind be free.
