I think John is having a conversation with himself (along with Josh's vocals) which keeps swinging from one idea to a second. The first idea perhaps is that he thinks others will be better off if he "omits himself" ("all my rights are everyone's enemy"). Then the second idea is that, no, "never now we need the other", i.e. people are better off if they relate to others. Then he introduces a little message - that you shouldn't fake who you are. (?)
