The Police were really just getting started here, and perhaps it's not fair to hang that over Sting's head, but (and I hate to say it) perhaps this kind of hunger is what's missing from a lot of Sting's solo work. He's become a master song craftsman, but perhaps his songs could benefit from a little less comfort in his life.
