I'm really confused by this song. Does anybody understand the last stanza? Seems like a political song. And if read one way it can seem almost prophetic. Shannon died in 1995. Clinton was pres. Well, George W. was elected in 2000. The last line says, "Maybe the next in line will be someone who's Daddy's blood, ran out next to Bush and it be him." Maybe I'm way off or just overanalyzing. Anybody?
