I think this song is about the feeling you get when you first fll in love with someone - ie, not being able to concentrate on things etc - and he feels like he won't be saved because he's completely besotted with this person. I think its a happy song, even though it sounds quite sad... I dunno, I guess it could be interpreted in a negative way too...
