This is definately one of my favorites. (along with petals and snow day)
Well to me that directly related to my own experience..of someone who had always had commitment problems or just problems in general. Someone who had always wanted to be with me for years but when the oppurtunity came up he didn't really bother trying to change to make things work and eventually things ended because he ran away from his problems instead of trying to fix them.
That I’m filling the empty spaces
Where you left your mark
Take two steps back from all of this
Remember what you started with
It was nothing at all
(someone not realizing the extent of what they had and taking it for granted.)
Back in Queens,
Where the stifling heat overpowers the air-conditioning

No, not today
(to me: Someone who instead of trying to fix things or themselves keep on "crawling away" from them instead to try to "escape" but...as it says "but you're never going to escape")
So basically I think it's somewhat about someone in a way taking a relationship for granted? and soon screwing it up with repeated mistakes..and realizing they should change but not.
