Some have speculated this Dispatch has a hidden Christian message behind many of their tunes. From that perspective, I remember reading a manifesto from another website that mentioned an angel coming down in a whirlwind to rid the world Old Testament-style of those persecute God's chosen people. From that manifesto, I read that Dubya was quoted using the "angel in the whirlwind" reference when referring to the USA and it's military when it comes to enforcing the peace of the world. That may not have anything to do with this song, and yet it may have everything to do. This may not be about the war in Iraq, so much as the foreign policy of the USA since the end of World War II.
