This song used to fill me up with hope, it made me dream about the way I wanted love to be for me...just pleasing and give your all without hesitation. Even better if it was with my best friend at the time, who I always felt was too much for me and romanticized him in my head. Since this song talks about "I never knew my journey began and ended with you my friend", it made me smile to think that maybe eventually we would end up together again. We did, but it was nothing like this song! :(
