Maybe people should take a look at the beauty of this song instead of who should get credit for it?
The fact is that this song is incredible. Jake's voice does good for these lyrics. As much as I love Conor's voice I must say that if this was sung by him it wouldn't mean the same for me. I feel that his voice holds a little more peace and a little less mystery. But those are just my opinions and are motivated probably by different experiences with the music than someone else.
"So she's crying an glowing
She's 3 months and showing
Seeing her now makes me want to live"
I don't know what he means, no one truly can unless you personally ask him. But to me this means when you see someone in a bad situation such as this, a lot of times you naturally want to help them. When you want to help someone you put yourself aside. Humans like to be needed. She makes him want to live.
That's my take on it.
