This is such a Hopefull song. I see him standing with his eyes closed and really focusing on what is going on inside him - hence the lines that you cant see/touch anything. The thunder that he is hearing is not a dangerous thing that one thinks hearing the word - it is a beacon, a mark... quite possibly radiating from his heart - Love! Arriving at the beacon he is filled with loving and feels all the wonders. Now I can not say if it is love for a woman/man or love for God. I guess it could be both at the same time... The ways of the person he loves will ultimately guide her in his direction - fate - his own path leads him to her as well.
True salvation is finding true love - from God or a human alike, since love is the same substance everywhere.
