Love this song. Another hard-hitting, deep song by Darren. It's really a self evaluation, or looking back upon what someone has done over the course of their lives. Really focusing on the love that has failed you and what you've tried to do to attain such a love. He explains all the things he has done, which are not necessarily anything to be proud of. It's the desperate feelings we have when we want to feel loved so badly that we'd go to any lenghts such as giving away our pride, letting strangers love us, whispering bull-shit nothings... and although we try so hard we sometimes cannot get passed that one special love that got away, calling their name to others. That line is such a sad thought. This entire song is very sad and very beautiful. It seems so hopeless and in that, it's beauty lies because does anyone really ever fill the void? Should they?
