I think it's kind of a sarcastic play on words of the hypocrisy, conformity, and skewed moral values of modern christianity. Not so much the actual "giving oneself to the devil or evil" like everyone says on here- that's just shallow and stupid. Again done through metaphorical exaggeration- "In fire baptized" doesn't really mean actual fire (satanic) it represents the burning, scarring nature baptism places- it's a scar that binds you forever indebted to a religion, it burns freedom of choice and leaves a burn to identify as a christian. most people here take it too literally..
