yeah, just so much like my hometown. i really like the verse that ends with "put the pedal to the metal 'fore they change their mind" as if maybe this young couple is finally leaving the small town, the only world theyve ever known. and with a beautiful chord change on "mind".
I never understood this to be the couple themselves leaving but as a continuation of bobby's rant about the world being flat. to me the couple actually seems somewhat like they wont be leaving town and they are fine with it (although it may be in their best interests to leave)
