Sounds to me like "Summer" is kind of a medaphor for life and how we shouldn't just sit on our asses all day. Instead we should live life to it's fullest. Summer only lasts a few months a year and we are only young for so long. If you procrastinate and put your dreams and plans on the back-burners before you know it you're stuck in a dead end job and seeing that your dreams will never come true.
