"Retreat to the back of our lines for your needs" is about Bush sending our troops in to do what he wanted done, not what was best for the country. The line "now what if dreams you had came crashing down/ would you change or erase the memory of the day you made us bleed" asks Bush that if he knew his vendetta against Iraq/Sadaam would cost the americans so much time/money/life, would he still do it? Great song. Oh, and all the guillotine talk is...easily interpreted...ahem.
