BUT..here's the catch. the tables used to be turned...earlier in their relationship she loved him but for whatever reason he no longer loved her back. that's why he repeats the words "is it my turn":

"Is it my turn to hold you by your hands, tell you I love you and you not hear me"
"Is it my turn to totally understand"
in other words, is it now his turn to be in the same situation that she was in.
and finally the words "isn't it amazing how some things completely turn around"...he is noting the irony of how the tables used to be turned, and now he is the one heartbroken by her.
