Ireland Lyrics

Actually this song as far as I can tell is about the time of troubles in Ireland with England, mainly about what is happening right before and during the "battle" which isn't really that much of a battle considering the size of the IRA during the times I am thinking this happened. Considering when this song came out, it might be talking somewhat about Michael Collins, who was a very influential leader during alot of the oppression that dealt with the troubles and trying to be free from Englands rule. If your interested more in what I am talking about just shoot me a message and I will try to tell you what I can.

@dwarfsetsfire its about the american civil war

@dwarfsetsfire - Possibly one of the most insane meanings you could take from this song.

Michael Collins was not alive during the Troubles. Collins died in 1922, the Troubles started in the 1960s. The IRA did not fight wars in this way. The only time they took to the field as an army was when they took the GPO in Dublin. This song could not have described that fight.
