I can completely see how you can see this song is about sex.. And it very well could be, but to me I thought her innocence was more her being so naive not being able to see that the write has feelings towards her.. hence, "So curious, Lips so red like a hilltop forest fire, Oblivious.."
He really likes this girl and he's trying to show her but she just wont see, so hes trying desperately to gain her trust and get her to tell him all her secrets to feel close to her.. He keeps fighting for her affections but she keeps turning her back on him and shutting him down something fierce, hence "Cos I am the fighter and you are the fists that bruise my face" which is further confirmed by the use of present tense with the word "bruise" not "bruised" because she keeps hurting him..
