I think it's about satisfaction, or the lack there of. He did this great thing and everyone showed up for it, but he has nothing to show for it; it's all "paper thin". Not to mention that it's been trampled on and "smashed into the rug". Thats just the general idea, I have no clue on specifics. I was never quite sure what PUSA was trying to say in their lyrics
