I adore this song.... It's defininetly a breakup song and you know that in the song she really doesn't want to do it but she knows she has to. It's that point of the relationship when you love them so much and leaving them is like seriously leaving a part of your heart behind and you don't want to do it, but you know you have to. So she finally does it, and she drops the phone because she can't believe that she did it. She knows that he wouldn't understand her choice and that he was probably mad at her, but like the song says, it's a crossroad and sometimes you really, really just have to do what's best for you-- in the relationship or not. In this case, she decided that the relationship wasn't worth it and she needed to move on. She knows it's going to hurt, and she knows she's going to cry about it. She ultimately will have to move on over time, and she knows that she needs to do this. But you absolutely cannot move on with your life, until you break up, and she's made the first step.
