I'm pretty sure this song is about 9/11 and having to cope with all the fears and tears that went along with it- ecspecially in the areas closest to NY..like DC where they (and I) are from.

I couldn't agree anymore. Although 9/11 was a horrible event, we need to be brave and just breathe, and take a break from all the tears.
