I think this one's about an old friend or an old flame, who the years have been tough for, coming to visit. The old acquaintance sees the person they have come to visit and how he has a family now and is happy, where when they knew each other long ago this scenario would be the last thing one could imagine for him. The person then realizes that even though that at one time, maybe even up until they got to the house that living this idea was still crazy, but once the person sees the children playing with their father, a sort of epiphany is reached and the person now longs for this same type of life.
