I agree with Andy- I do think the song is about his relationship with Jesus. I think it kind of ties in with the first song, The Truth, about doubting one's faith. This one is about apologizing to God for being such a sinful person, and for pushing Him away.

I think that line's about pushing God away out of... fear? Inability to grasp the concept? I'm not sure, exactly, but I absolutely ADORE this song. I think it's one of the best on the album, by far the best original one.
